‘Chandler Bing’: Short Taper Gelled Back Hairstyle

2.0 2 Star

Chandler Bing’s hairstyle hasn’t held up as well as his Friends’ Ross and Joey – and it’s probably thanks to the copious of gel he’s used!

MFH says

The actor’s gelled back style looks a little greasy for MFH’s liking. But if you do want to create Chandler Bing’s look reach for gel or a high shine pomade and work copious amounts through hair.

Matthew Perry has styled his short taper into a side parting and a mini quiff. Probably without the gel it would be a classic style. But alas… some things should stay in the 90s.

  • To get Chandler Bing’s hairstyle ask your barber for a taper with a bit of length on top.
  • You want enough hair to style into a quiff or side parting with gel.
  • When your hair is towel dry apply gel through the mid-section, use sparingly at first!
  • If you’re more low maintenance, you can always leave hair to dry naturally but if you’re in a rush use a hairdryer.
  • Then add a touch of wet look pomade or gel shine. Maybe use less than Chandler / Matthew Perry to bring the look into the 21st century.
