Consistency
Like a mousse at first but then you have fibres. Stringy, not sticky.
Thickness to it. A bit like a goop gum. Silly string!
How To Use American Crew Fiber Grooming Foam
Spray out a small mound onto your hand and work through damp hair from root to tip.
Allow to dry naturally or use a hair dryer to work in increased volume.
Finish
Dries in and builds volume. Slight tackiness to it. Doesn’t feel like a mousse.
Hold
Light hold for bouncy volume. Would always use as a pre-styler basis for styling.
Who Is It For?
Best for medium to long length hair. Adds volume and light movement. Not so effective in shorter length hair.
The only thing I like about this product is the smell, it smells great unfortunately that’s it. In my hair this takes far to long to dry it took me 9 minutes of drying to get my hair fully dry and it’s just far to sticky. Definitely not good imo.
Love this product overall… The pros: gives great volume, nice hold, smells good… I used this as a pre styler with a hair dryer and round brush and it worked great. The cons: I hate the stickiness / fibrous feel of the foam. It drove me so crazy that I just didn’t want to use it. If you don’t mind the fiber / sticky feel in your hands it can work great.
