Mike Faist’s Hair: Wavy Textured Tapered Hairstyle
Most recognisable as part of a tennis threesome in Challengers, Mike Faist’s hair is noticeably darker IRL. Although his textured, tapered haircut isn’t too dissimilar from his character Art’s tousled vibe.
Why We Love It:
Mike Faist’s hair – in all its naturally wavy, textured, casually tousled glory – was a vibrant strawberry blonde in Challengers in which he played Art.
And, with Mike’s natural hair tone being hotly debated online by his fans, MFH can officially break the news that it is…this darker brown colour IRL.
Mike recently told Variety that the director of Challengers was insistent that his character be blonde because he wanted the contrast between the competing male lead characters – Art and Patrick (Josh O’Connor) – to be light and dark, like fire and ice.
And if you’ve seen the film, you’ll realise that Art’s lighter hair colour really does play a part in how you perceive his character.
What would Freud say?
What To Ask Your Barber:
- Mike Faist’s hair is tapered neatly around the sides and back of the head.
- The hair on top is substantially longer – at least a few inches.
- Mike’s stylist would have layered/point cut his hair on top so it sits well, and to bring out the natural movement and texture of his hair.
Get The Look
- Mike Faist’s wavy, textured, casually tousled hair looks effortless.
- However, it will take a bit of prep to get this look.
- On damp hair, spritz a texture spray throughout.
- Then add a tiny amount of pomade – rub it between your hands first to warm it up, then apply.
- Blow dry the hair on medium heat, using a vent brush to lift the front of the hair up and back slightly.
- Do this all over the top of the hair.
- When the hair is dry, use a little more of the pomade to shape the hair in the way you want.
- Apply a light-hold hairspray to keep it all in place.
