As orthodox pomades (like a hard gel) go, this isn’t bad. Does tend to dry in the hair.
Layrite‘s pomade is ideal for messy or refined styles. It will provide a medium hold like a wax, but wash out like a gel.
Recommended For
Fine to medium thick hair.
Short to medium length.
Application
The hold and shine of this pomade depends on how you apply it. For a high shine but low hold, apply to towel-dried hair. For a low shine but higher hold, apply to completely dry hair.
As this is a water-soluble product, to wash out simply use warm water.

I have had this Layrite pomade in my rotation for a while now and it has really become one of my go-to products. It is so easy to apply and style that it is a joy to use. It does not harden very quickly, so you have plenty of time to style as you wish (it does harden though). I think Layrite has its place for people who go with both classic and more modern styles–if you want a slick hairstyle then this product will almost always deliver. I will note that if you are wanting to use a pomade during the summer months, you may want to go with something that has more strength as this doesn’t always hold up if I’m out in the summer heat all day. Nevertheless, I still highly recommend giving Layrite a try.
