Tom Holland: Swept Back Hair With Quiff

4.0 4 Star

Spiderman actor, Tom Holland, has caught MFH in his web with this slick, swept-back style with a quiff.

MFH says

Tom Holland’s swept-back style with a quiff is proof that you can get a slick look if you have curly/wavy hair without losing too much length.

Sure it’ll involve a lot of product and dedicating quality time to styling it, but if you want a different look for a night out, it’s worth it, right?

Clearly the actor was up for more of a slick-looking change after sporting long, scraggly hair for his role in Apple TV+ thriller, The Crowded Room.

Talking to RadioTimes.com he admitted girlfriend Zendaya wasn’t keen on it. “Obviously I had that crazy hairstyle. I had the bangs. Bless Zendaya, she had a lot to put up with, with me looking like that for 10 months, it was rough.”

  • If you have naturally curly/wavy hair like Tom Holland, start with a chat about what you want to achieve with your hair.
  • The hairdresser will also assess your hair and curl type and texture.
  • This is crucial for determining the best approach and ensuring your expectations are met.
  • Tom hasn’t lost too much length from his medium-length curls, but his stylist will have kept the top section a little longer to allow for the curl factor.
  • Tom’s hairstylist will have also layered/point cut the hair throughout to remove bulk and enable the hair to sit well.
  • To style your hair like Tom Holland’s swept-back look, you’ll need to invest in products with a medium-strong hold.
  • On damp hair, run some curl cream throughout.
  • Then apply a very small amount of a styling product like matt clay to the fringe area of your hair.
  • Using a hairdryer on medium heat, lift the fringe up and roll it into a quiff shape using a rounded vent brush.
  • Apply a little of the matt clay to the sides of your hair and use the vent brush to sweep the hair back gently.
  • Use a tiny bit more clay to shape the quiff and smooth the sides of the hair to get the look you want.
  • Finish off with some hairspray if you want to ensure the style stays in place.
