I love the Penhaligon’s brand. They make some of the most distinguishable and unique fragrance on the market at the moment.
Penhaligon’s William Penhaligon is surprisingly easy to wear; and will particularly suit a man who wants a great smelling scent but without being overpowering. It’s understated opulence at its best!
It’s very much an ode to vetiver – perfecting blending both woody and oriental notes to create this warm, inviting and masculine scent.
The top bergamot note is fleeting, giving way to the star of the show, vetiver. Combined with oriental incense, William Penhaligon has a rich and bright tonality to it. That said, there’s a definite sweetness in the base that lingers on the skin.
My only criticism would be the performance. Low sillage and definitely not one that lasts all day. But a great addition to any guy’s fragrance wardrobe.

What They Say
“Majestic and chic. Like a good friend, stimulating and comforting in equal measure. Like great art and music, uplifting. Composed in expert, meticulous detail, but with strong, confident brush strokes – William Penhaligon ́s own scent.
Beyond distinguished. A timeless classic, since 2020. Created with Vetiver, one of perfumery’s master ingredients. Earthy, warm and fresh. Woven inside an Oriental structure, one of perfumery’s mistresses of sophistication.”
