I have long been a fan of the original Hugo Boss Boss Bottled. It really has aged so well and is a scent that I still recommend to guys who want an easy-wearing, premium-smelling fragrance that doesn’t break the bank!
I was hoping for a fortified crisp apple scent with a woody dry-down, but Boss Bottled Elixir really moves away from the iconic DNA of Boss Bottled and carves out its own distinct scent.
The opening of Boss Bottled Elixir is fairly heavy on the patchouli and cardamon, a powerful combo that is both cooling and grounded.
The dry-down, however, is where the fragrance comes into its own. Soft cedarwood and ambery labdanum create a blanket of warmth and a rich tone that glistens on the skin.
