A disappointing launch. I had so much hope for Hugo Boss Bottled Marine. With the ‘frosted apple’ and mint top note combination, this sounded like a cool blast of freshness, perfect for summer.
But really, it’s just quite a sharp and heady mix of notes that don’t play well together.
There certainly is that distinctive Boss Bottled DNA in there with the apple note being fairly prominent in its composition; but this one just has no ‘wow’ factor. I just found myself waiting for something to kick in. But, nope, it didn’t.
Performance is fine but not great. It doesn’t last a lot of time on the skin, and the projection is fairly low – becoming a bit of a skin scent as you wear it through the day.
I love the original Hugo Boss Bottled, but this new launch just doesn’t cut it.
