  • Find a barber who is experienced with cutting curly hair.
  • Keep the length all over.
  • Scissor cut.
  • No layers are needed.
  • If you have thick hair, you might want some of the bulk weight cut out.
  • When drying the hair, you can use a diffuser to help set the curls.
  • Use a mousse as a pre-style to help create volume.
  • Use a styling cream to define the curls and tame any flyaways.
