Oh Jimmy Choo, if only money were no object…
I knew the Jimmy Choo Spring Summer 2014 collection was going to be something pretty special – right from when I saw the 1950s green Cadillac parked outside, to the Mojito that I was expertly made by the extra-attentive mixologist inside the venue.
Glittered Sloane slippers, studded high-tops, Paisley print and camouflage all played a part in the collection. There was no one theme. It was exciting, vibrant and inspiring. Seriously, I could have spent all day in there… providing the Bacardi didn’t run dry.
On the inspiration for the collection, Jimmy Choo’s Creative Director, Sandra Choi said,
“The collection inspiration was ignited by the contemporary art series ‘Men in the Cities’ by Robert Longo which led me to people watch in other cities outside the traditional fashion capitals. I was inspired by the resplendent Sapeurs in Brazzaville, the tricked out street style of New York and the creativity of fashion individuality in cities around the world.”
Top pick: tan leather brogue with patent camouflage detailing.
