The Ordinary Shampoo is a breath of fresh air for hair care. For so long now, we have been told that sulphates are the devil – use them at your own risk. But really, sulphates do a job. They help to effectively cleanse both the hair and the scalp.
This is a gentle shampoo that will clean your hair. Done. No stripping, no fading, no squeaky feeling. I really like it and think it’s a great addition to The Ordinary’s already very successful skincare lineup.
Also, it doesn’t really smell of anything. How I like it!

Product Information
The product contains SLES-2, a milder sulphate that has been incorporated into the formula to be gentle on the skin and cleanse hair without additional colour fade. The molecular structure of SLES-2 is designed to provide effective cleansing at a lower concentration to minimize concerns with potential irritation associated with the use of sulphates.
How To Use
Work the cleanser into wet hair and body. Rinse. If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician. Use only as directed on unbroken skin. Patch testing prior to use is advised.
