Damson Idris’ Hair: Afro Crop With Medium Fade
Why We Love It:
The Peckham-born British actor is a man who likes to look good – and Damson Idris’ hair – an Afroย crop with medium fade – is the business.
Needless to say, his grooming is next level too. In fact, the woman behind his glowing skin for his red carpet appearance at the Met Gala was the celebrity groomer,ย Jessica Smalls, who spoke to theย Red Carpet Fashion Awardsย website.
She spilled that she used a face gel to prime his skin, then a trimmer on his subtle goatee followed by a little beard oil.
Damson also had a chat to GQย about the 10 things he can’t live without. One of his top choices? “Every black man’s secret – the curl sponge”, he said, admitting it boosts the look of his curls.
He went on to say that back in the day he used to “cut holes in a sponge…because that’s what all the barbershops were doing in Peckham.”
No need for that now – luckily there’s a myriad of places you can buy curl sponges these days.
