I absolutely loved the original Tom Ford Ombre Leather EDP, so I was a little nervous to try the new parfum version. Why mess with something that is already so great!?
That said, I’m glad they did! Tom Ford Ombre Leather Parfum is very much an ode to the original – a variation on a theme. It’s much earthier and more grounded, with the woodsy notes of the original really taking centre stage.
While I found the original lively, warm and slightly powdery; this new release feels a little more sure of itself. It’s less energetic and has a sophisticated calm to it.
If you liked the original, I think you’ll enjoy this. It’s a more grown-up, evening version of its little brother. For me, it’s a great release but my heart still belongs to the original.
