Why We Love It:
Tom Ford’s Eau D’Ombré Leather is the latest addition to the Ombré Leather family. The EDT version offers a fresh take on the original, with top notes of bright ginger and cardamom that give it an energetic appeal. However, while the leather note is supposed to be the star, I found it quite elusive, making the spices stand out more.
You still get those floral nuances from jasmine sambac, but they’re toned down compared to the Eau De Parfum. The base is where the magic happens, with hints of vanilla and amber adding depth, although it’s lighter overall.
While the scent itself is great, I noticed that the performance doesn’t quite match up to its predecessor. The longevity is decent, but it lacks the same staying power or projection as the Eau De Parfum. After a few hours, it becomes more of a skin scent, which might be disappointing for those who prefer a fragrance that lasts all day. It’s still a beautiful scent for those who enjoy a subtler, more understated version of Ombré Leather, but if you’re after that full-bodied, luxurious experience, you might find the EDT a little underwhelming.
