I absolutely love this new Jo Malone Cypress & Grapevine Cologne Intense launch (September 2020) from Jo Malone.
Cypress & Grapevine is rich, vibrant and elegant. It’s a fragrance with gravitas and a warming sensuality. I absolutely love it on my skin.
That said, the performance is not as good as you’d expect. Sillage is there, but it’s more of a nuzzler, rather than a shouty ‘look at me’ fragrance. Longevity is middle-of-the-road and definitely needs a top-up spritz throughout the day.
It’s a good launch and a fragrance I’m excited to wear more of.

Cypress & Grapevine, an aromatic and evergreen Cologne Intense. Foliage and revelry enliven the garden’s expansive terraces and noble arches. Heart Note: Grapevine
A sensual woody accord. An unexpected blend of natural cedarwood and vetiver, complimented with warm amber and juicy grape notes.
Base Note: Moss
The verdancy of moss cushions the base of the fragrance in earthy, woody warmth. Evocative of undergrowth damp with fresh rain.

I love this fragrance. Wore it on my wedding day! Robin hits it on the head, this one gets better the more you wear it. It also plays nice with other fragrances, I often wear it with my other favorite from Jo Malone: Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Could not recommend more highly.
I agree with Robin’s review here. The scent is fantastic – rich, warm and nuanced. You do have to come in close to really appreciate the scent. Which isn’t always a bad thing.
It’s a nuzzler! Got to get in close to truly enjoy it.
