A really beautiful – and somewhat unexpected – launch from Fenty.
In 2021, Rihanna’s beauty brand stepped into fragrance and the Fenty Eau De Parfum is surprisingly good.
To be honest, I’m not sure what I was expecting. With her hugely successful line of beauty and lingerie, Rihanna has shown what can be done when a celebrity really invests in their own brand. For too long, popstars, actors and models have signed off on below-par launches, just to make a buck (or two) out of selling their name.
But for Rihanna, the Fenty EDP really does feel like a launch to be proud of. The fragrance is a story of effervescent citrus, full-bodied rose and delicate musk.
I love how the fragrance moves – from the opening pop of tangerine through to the leading note of Bulgarian rose. This scent really does have a strong point of view. Despite being delicate and fairly intimate, it’s a fragrance with a strong identity and one that I’ve really enjoyed wearing.
From the opening citrus energy, the scent dries down to something a lot more grounded and earthy, with a sweet little bow to tie it all off. It really is gorgeous and one to try on your skin.
