A gorgeous, juicy, citrus, mandarin pop in the opening of this new EDP by Creed. Viking Cologne (it’s an EDP though) is a balance between a citrus and woody, aromatic fragrance.
The opening is a heavy hit of bergamot, lemon, mandarin and pink pepper. Although it has all the big players in there, the MVP really is that mandarin. So powerful and zesty!
The heart is aromatic and herbaceous. It’s warming and has an effervescence about it.
Into the base, it’s a little forgettable just because of those notes ahead of it, but warm woods, patchouli and vetiver keep it grounded and inviting.
Performance is good but not great. Projection is fair and longevity is fine.
A real fresh, summer scent.
