If you only buy one thing for S/S13, make it a pair of print trousers.
The trend isn’t a new one, but it is going to be bigger than ever this year. With more high street menswear brands embracing the look, the print trouser is no longer just for men who can afford Burberry Prorsum, Gucci or Givenchy.
Now, don’t get me wrong – I’m no trend whore. It’s not just about, “it’s on trend, I need to have these!” It’s more a case of, “Ooh, these look pretty cool and add some major excitement to any outfit… oh, and I can also afford them.”
We’re not guaranteed the weather for our British spring (or even summer), but we can at least look like we’re living the seasonal dream!
The secret to wearing print trousers is to keep it simple. Wear with a neutral sweater, t-shirt or blazer. Don’t mix with a fussy patterned top… unless you want to run the risk of looking like an extra from a dodgy 60s porno (it could work?).
Keep the look clean and simple. It just so happens that you’re wearing some pretty loud trousers.
