You need the right strategy for shopping luxury items. For me, it’s all about buying a couple of killer pieces. These should be the things (coats, boots, jeans) that you’ll buy once and wear again every year.
Think about classic cuts and neutral colours. Don’t go overboard with prints, patterns or slogans. Less is more with luxury.
I had to have this winter coat
Trawling the Farfetch site, I started frantically adding pieces to my basket. These were all things that I wanted, but really there was only one thing that I needed. I had to have this shearling coat!
For me, shearling is something that will forever be ‘in’. Ditch the trends and stick with something that will last you a lifetime.
I already own a few aviator jackets, but they are all darker and heavy leather. I really wanted something that would make a statement, but still be wearable and timeless.
