I was expecting a fresh, energetic scent that had movement and excitement. Unfortunately, this is not what I got.

Why We Love It:

I absolutely love Molton Brown but this launch is disappointing.

Molton Brown Wild Mint & Lavandin – I was expecting a fresh, energetic scent with movement and excitement. I wanted big, bold mint and a full bouquet of aromatic lavender. Unfortunately, this is just flat.

The mint is a little sour, like toothpaste wrapped in a citrus blanket; and the lavender smells synthetic. The Tonka note also does little to provide depth. It just all feels a little surface.

In terms of performance, it’s very much caught up in the head, warming ever so slightly to the Tonka and nutmeg, but it doesn’t project, and it certainly doesn’t last on the skin.

If you’re new to Molton Brown, do not be put off by this review. I’d urge you to try Russian Leather and Re-charge Black Pepper. Two absolute bangers!
