What They Say…
Sauvage is an act of creation inspired by wide-open spaces. An ozone blue sky sprawled above a rocky landscape, white-hot beneath the desert sun. The strong gust of citrus in Sauvage eau de toilette is powerfully anchored by the ambery nobleness of Ambroxan, a resinous Elemi and woods that bind the whole.
Franรงois Demachy created this scent as an ode to nature, summoning the beauty of raw materials chosen for their rarity, as well as for the particular conditions in which they were cultivated. As such, Calabrian Bergamot, among other ingredients, possesses unique qualities. Its remarkable soil, swept by warm winds, along with traditional growing and extraction methods, combine to give it remarkable nuances and intensity.
“For Sauvage, I drew inspiration from wide-open spaces; harsh and noble at the same time. I wanted natural ingredients of extreme quality in excessive doses, for a composition that is both raw and refined.”
Franรงois Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator
