Serge Lutens

Parfumeur, Serge Lutens, actually started out as a hair stylist in Lille, and moved to Paris, in the 1970s, to become a makeup artist for Vogue. He became so well respected that he was eventually asked to create his own line of cosmetics for Christian Dior. After a move to work for Shiseido, Serge Lutens became more interested in creating fragrances and he started to create his own brand in 2000.

For four years (between 2001-2004) he was awarded the Fifi Award for Best Concept, which is the equivalent of receiving an Oscar in the fragrance world.
