Professional barber Donnie Hawley created Layrite, in 1999, after becoming frustrated from constantly using petroleum-based hair styling products, that were so difficult to rinse out. So, he went on to create his own water-soluble pomade that “holds like wax and washes out like gel“. Layrite hair products have now become a staple of barbers around the world.
