Using a combination of our past formulas of limited batch products we created the new American Gardens Clay Pomade. However, this time we’ve worked out a user friendly experience by creating an aloe-based formula. American Gardens is a 100% washable, vegan formula with 99% plant derived ingredients producing a strong hold with a dry, matte finish. To top it off, it features a wild orange & oak moss fragrance created with therapeutic grade essential oils.

How To Use
Use a small amount of Shear Revival American Gardens on towel dried hair, for a natural look. Alternatively, use on damp hair followed by a blast from the hairdryer for extra volume.

So I just got this a couple days ago and it’s not really working for me. Not sure if I’m not using it correctly or if it’s just my hair. I have really thick straight hair and the gel doesn’t keep my hair up for more than 30 min. I style it before I go to work and my the time I get there it’s already flat. If anyone has any recommendations for a strong hold clay based gel let me know.
Definitely a product that grew on me over time. I would have initially given it 3 or 4 stars since it is not as matte as other products I know of, however I grew accustomed to it and now love the look. What made me keep using it before I had grown to like the ‘not-quite-matte look’ (by my standards) was the ease of application and emulcification compared to ALL other clays I have had prior. It also smells great which is a plus.
Bought this clay on Robin’s recommendation. I love clay. It is matte, excellent fixation, not sticky. It is very pleasant to work with her. Thanks Robin!
