David Corenswet’s Hair: Classic Textured Haircut
He might be the new Superman, but David Corenswet’s hair at this CinemaCon appearance trades the man of steel’s dramatic forelock for a more modern, textured style with volume and polish, sending him soaring up, up and away to the top of MFH’s hairstyle league…
Why We Love It:
He’s the new Superman but David Corenswet’s hair here at ComicCon is, appropriately, the epitome of refined cool: natural texture, subtle waves, and softly swept back without losing volume or movement.
It’s a more modern take on the iconic Superman hairstyle – a jet black, wavy quiff with an aggressively curled forelock, that he sports in the new superhero film. But David’s IRL look still gives main character energy without going the full comic book.
The top of the hair has enough length to add a bit of volume and subtly sweep back while the sides and back are scissor-cut, keeping length for that tailored, grown-out vibe that works especially well on thicker, wavy hair like his.
Bonus: this is a cut that’ll grow out gracefully. You’re not bound to a fortnightly fade schedule and can leave it around 4- 6 weeks between visits to the barber.
What To Ask Your Barber:
- If you’re keen on David Corenswet’s hair, you’ll want a scissor cut that keeps a bit of length on top – about 2-3 inches – with texture to enable volume and movement.
- The sides of the hair are shorter, just to the top of the ears.
- The back of the hair hits collar length but has been textured, with the bulkiness removed and textured to ensure it doesn’t look too mullet-esque.
Get The Look
- Start with a shampoo and conditioner that promotes texture, such as these new Clean Routine products by Anfor.
- Spritz in a little texture spray like the Anfor Texture Volume Spray (or you can buy a bundle with the shampoo, conditioner and texture spray)
- Blow-dry using fingers or a wide-tooth comb/brush to enhance volume without flattening the natural shape.
- Brush back very subtly from the temples for that relaxed, swept-back effect.
- Use a tiny touch of matte paste, clay or pomade for extra definition and shape – but keep it minimal.
- Optional: Finish with a spritz of light mist of hairspray for subtle hold.
